However, after the completion of their tour, the duo decided to pursue a solo career and take a break from the duo.

In 2015, a solo album “Dangerous” was released by Yandel. The album, although received positively, did not manage to gather much critical acclaim.

In the year 2005, David Impelluso directed a documentary based on the lives of the duo- Wisin & Yandel. He appeared in the film narrating his life story. In 2009, he guest starred in the TV show- Verano de amor. Yandel was also one of the coaches in the third season of La Voz, Mexico; the Mexican version of The Voice in 2013.
